Happy Thanksgiving to all of our wonderful friends and followers! 🥳
OK, OK, we’re getting a little ahead of ourselves… But I for one am very much in the mood for hot chocolate, oodles of baked goods, and (of course) names that give me that warm and fuzzy feeling.
My obsession of the week? Zebedee. Sure, it’s a lot of name, but it’s just so much fun to say!
Well used by the Puritans, and with a joyful meaning to match its jubilant sound, Zebedee makes our newly updated list of Thanksgiving names for babies born during this season of gratitude and goodwill.
Other Thanksgiving names range from classic Grace to adventurous Oceanus and Peregrine – the names of the babies born aboard the Mayflower as it sailed to America.

How to Name Your Baby After Your Grandpa
… Without calling him Larry or Dick 😬
Following on from our recent blog about how to put a fresh spin on grandma names, this week it’s the boys’ turn!
Boy names have historically risen and fallen in popularity much more slowly than girl names, so the biggest problem with popular grandpa names is not that they feel hopelessly dated, but that they feel a bit… well, tired.
And with boys traditionally given family names much more frequently than girls, you might find yourself wanting to avoid yet another James or Joseph in the family.
We’ve reimagined the Top 20 grandpa names to feel fresh and cool for a 2020s baby, while still honoring the original.
