Is This the Weirdest Name Ever? đ±
The craziest celebrity baby names, plus how one family named triplets (!) and more
What would you name triplets?
Itâs a question we all love to think about, but few of us will actually be responsible for naming three babies at once đ¶đ¶đ¶
Our Berry Jennifer hit the baby name jackpot when she discovered she was expecting triplets â two girls and a boy. For Jennifer and her husband Jacob, their babiesâ names came (relatively) easily. In September, the welcomed Elise Caroline, Jude Joseph, and Lillian Laine.
We interviewed Jennifer about the baby name process for her triplets, who each have an honor name and a favorite name from her childhood (the dream!)
And just for fun, weâre asking everyone *their* dream triplet names in the forums. See my answers and add your own here.
Good Names with Bad Meanings
One of my friends recently went on a date with a woman named Cassandra.
âShe told me her name means curser of men!,â he said.
This isnât true (Cassandra likely means âshining on mankindâ or âexcelling mankindâ), but if it was, it wouldnât bode well for my friendâs future.
I set the record straight on Cassandra, but there are plenty of great names out there with actually terrible meanings.
Can you guess the good name from the bad meaning?
âRegretâ â three letters, female, lead character in a currently popular TV series
âBaldâ â six letters, male, precocious comic strip troublemaker
âMisshapen headâ â seven letters, female, Top 100 presidential surname

âWild boar clearingâ â six letters, female, sleek surname with three spellings in the Top 500
âWarâ â five letters, male, tied to a well-known Danish actor
âNight monsterâ â six letters, female, bad girl from Jewish mythology
âLispingâ â six letters, male, âfieryâ French name

Weird Celebrity Baby Names
The biggest piece of name news this week was that Grimes and Elon Musk welcomed their second child, a daughter named Exa Dark SiderĂŠl (nicknamed Y).
Exa is actually a historical variant of Achsah, but Grimes and Musk were inspired by the supercomputing term exaFLOPS.
And Y? Well, that just makes sense when your brother is named X Ă A-XII.
The Musk children have the weirdest names in the celebrisphere, but there are some strong contenders vying for second place. This week on the blog, weâre looking at the weirdest celebrity baby names of the 21st century (Remember Rosalind Arusha Arkadina Altalune Florence? Or Devereaux Octavian Basil?)

I have encountered people who were names were Princess, Forrest, Xianna. For me they were so different and I don't like naming my kid after an noble title or naming my son after Forest, definitely don't like Xianna for it's spelling and the way it is pronounced "cee-yahn-nah"
