Is Your Name Common for Your Profession?
Disproportionately common names among lawyers, librarians, and more.
What’s Your Biggest Name Fear? 😱
I’ll go first — as someone who doesn’t have children yet, I am worried that when the time comes, I won’t be able to use my most favorite names. The horror!
Our Berry Imogen recently told me that she was most afraid of the Elsa Effect — that her child’s rare name would suddenly be heard all over the place. (The name in question? Magnus).
Honestly, that sounds pretty scary, too.
List of the Week: Welsh Names 🏴
Earlier this week, Wales celebrated St. David’s Day, their national holiday. In honor of this springtime celebration, Clare put together a list of enchanting Welsh names on our blog.
From familiar choices like Owen and Morgan to hidden gems like Liliwen and Rhydian, explore the best in Welsh baby names. (I have such a crush on Macsen 😍)
Name of the Week: Clementine 🍊
Oh, my darlin’! 🎶
This sweet face is Clementine Mary Maddelena, sister to Harbor Alister and daughter of our Berries Caitlin and Drew. Her name has been climbing the charts over the past few years but has hit a plateau — for now.
Caitlin told us she was initially planning on using a rarer name for her daughter, but “it slowly dawned on me that I had to go with my favorite name even if it didn’t fit the qualifications that I was setting.”
Sometimes, you have to confront your name fears.
My name is super uncommon anywhere but I don't know if it's common in Paris or France.... My name is Soleil, French for "sun" and it's pronounced "So-Lay".
I'm having a baby and it's a girl. I want to name it Emily, But it sounds VERY common. Do you have some unique and cute names?
