Have you ever suffered from name nerd embarrassment? You know, that moment where you get a little too excited when you meet someone with a cool name?
When you’re a name nerd, this happens on the regular. (Case in point: me, last night, meeting my friend’s new girlfriend).
This week in the forums, Berries are discussing their moments of name nerd embarrassment over names like Bertha, Morvern, and Yemima (swoon!)

Middle Names
Speaking of embarrassment, I can be a little shy about sharing my middle name. Louise is a perfectly lovely first name, but as a middle for a Millennial girl? Sorta basic.
The parents naming Generation Alpha are getting a lot more creative with their children’s middle names. They seek significant choices such as family names (Garcia, McCarthy), virtue names (Prosper, Reverie), and names that conjure adventure (Quest, Alaska).
If I could re-middle-name myself off of this list, I’d go with something like Muse, Swan, or Greer. What would you choose?
How I Named My Baby: Salem Tate
Get a load of this cutie!
We spoke to her mom, Allison, owner of Eventide Pennant Co., about how Salem Tate got her name.
The most special detail:
"Salem was born ten years to the hour of when my husband’s mother passed away. We weren’t wavering on the name, but that really solidified the completeness and wholeness. It was the perfect day for her to have been born with that name."
Sometimes, a name was just meant to be.
