One-of-a-Kind Baby Names
We mean "unique" literally, this time
I once had a roommate with a cat named Sophie. (It’s weird but you get used to it).
Pets with human names run the risk of running into people that share them. Particulary, say, if you call your pet Luna or Oliver, Jack or Lily — all of which are currently common for dogs, cats, and babies.
Cat names have been on my mind this week, as I’ve been babysitting a sweet cat called Petra — a name I love for humans as well. Petra is rare for both cats and babies, so it’s unlikely to be shared with a future roommate or sister-in-law.
My friends and I have been going back and forth about what we would name hypothetical future cats. I’d go with one of the more extravagant names on my list — Pomeline or Anemone or Fuchsia — but I loved this idea from my friend Taylor:
