A chic, contemporary alternative to Valerie 🌄
Oh boy — this name is going to be trending in 2026 🤠
Shocked that we didn’t have this in the database! 🇮🇹
Anyone else spot this YA-inspired name on social media this week? 📚

I was trying to figure out why Opha and Aobh were trending but cannot find anything - I wonder if it's because Aobh is similar to Aoife (from the same root) and Opha *might* stem from Ophelia - or that OPHA is used as an acronym for various health associations? Or Opha May Jackson been celebrated/taught about in some way recently?
I can actually see Howdy catching on, since parents are using Rowdy - but maybe it will bring Howard back into the charts so people can do Howard 'Howdy'?
Oh my! Some of those new names are wild. Dessen reminds me of Desitin so no. Howdy screams Doody to me so absolutely off the table! Aobh is pronounced similarly to Eve so I'm guessing it's just people trying to be unique but familiar. But, I adore Elliott (with 2 T's).
