Guess the Hansons’ Baby Name and Win $1000
Natalie and Taylor Hanson of Hanson fame are expecting their seventh child on Christmas Eve. The baby’s name? Figure it out and you’ll win $1000.
Nameberry is offering $1000 to any reader who can guess the name of the Hanson’s baby – a girl, Natalie announced Friday on her Instagram.
The trick? You’ll have to outguess Nameberry’s Name Guru to the Stars, Sophie Kihm (hi, that’s me).
A Nameberry editor as well as a perinatal therapist, I combine my expertise in names and psychology to analyze celebrities’ naming style and come up with predictions for their children’s names.
In the five years I’ve been prognosticating celebrity baby names, I have racked up some impressive successes, predicting the names of two of Hilaria and Alec Baldwin’s children, Chrissy Teigen and John Legend’s son Miles, and Jinger Duggar’s newborn daughter Evangeline.
But correctly predicting the name of the next Hanson baby may prove a bigger-than-average challenge even for a name guru like myself. Natalie Hanson is a noted celebrity name lover who’s chosen creative names for all her children.
“The act of naming involves many things I love; history, etymology, great stories, and hope for the future,” says Hanson. “Names have always had a special place in my heart, and none more special than those I choose for my children.”
The names of the Hanson children are Jordan Ezra (Ezra), Penelope Anne (Penny), River Samuel, Viggo Moriah, Wilhelmina Jane (Willa), and Claude Indiana Emmanuel (Indy).
The Hansons choose names on the cutting edge of style with an old-fashioned flavor. The Hanson girl names, in particular, are romantic and feminine and come with charming vintage nicknames.
My official guesses for the new baby girl’s name are Cornelia, Dorothea, Guinevere, Henrietta, Lucinda, Millicent, Minerva, Susannah, Tabitha, and Theodosia.
Think you can do better? Head to Nameberry’s Instagram page and enter your own guess in the comments. If your name guess is correct and the mine isn’t, Nameberry will pay you $1000 and feature you as a guess Name Guru to the Stars.
