This week on the Nameberry blog we’re all about names that have *just* peaked. These names reached their highest ever rank three to four years ago, and are on an (almost) certain downward trend. It was nice knowing you, Atticus and Saoirse!
Now, on the flip side, let’s look at the names which are at their peak right now. Just over 200 names in the Top 1000 for each sex are more popular now than they’ve ever been — including 10 unisex names that are peaking for both.
Read the full list here:
Some of these haven’t reached their true peak yet, and will climb higher in future years. Others are having their moment now and won’t get any more popular, whether they’re in the Top 20 or down in the 900s. (You may be hoping one way or the other, depending on your feelings about each name!)
But which will rise further, and which will fall? Place your bets for the future of twelve peaking girl, boy and unisex names in our polls!
